Scope of the
Workshop
The focus of this workshop will be to review the most recent developments in turbomachinery broadband noise. It will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest techniques for both the prediction and measurement of broadband turbomachinery noise and provide scientists and engineers from industry, research establishments and universities with the opportunity to present new results, exchange ideas and discuss directions of future research.
The topics to be considered will include :
- Broadband noise sources
- Characterization of turbulence (analytic, RANS, LES/DES)
- Blade response (analytic, CFD/CAA) and sound radiation
- Broadband noise theories including semi analytic methods
- Experimental approaches and validation
- Broadband noise reduction technologies

Call for Papers
The language of the workshop will be English. The interested speakers are invited to submit their abstracts on no more than 2 pages including authors’ names and affiliations, in electronic form (Word). The speakers must provide their manuscript or their presentation in advance in electronic form (PDF or Power Point) so as to facilitate the preparation of the proceedings.
